Customs Compliance and Consulting

At Barinco, we can recommend compliance solutions that are in line with rigorous customs regulations and reduce your risk of detention or costly penalties. We start by assessing the import commodity including origin, applicable trade agreements, and other agency requirements and advise on ways to streamline your internal customs processes for accuracy and efficiency.

Freight Forwarding

Freight forwarders arrange and manage the transportation of goods between two destinations. In order to do this, they negotiate with air, ocean and ground carriers to deliver cost and time efficient solutions.

A partnership with the right company goes a long way in taking the stress out of importing and exporting goods. We leverage our relationships with freight forwarders worldwide to streamline the complexities of a global transaction through local execution. This minimizes errors and ensures that the job will be done each and every time correctly.

We will find the best freight forwarder for you.

Importer Security Filing

The Importer Security Filing (also referred to as “10+2”) is a security measure that went into full effect in 2013. This regulation was enacted to help US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) identify high-risk shipments and protect against acts of terrorism and unlawful entry of goods. It requires that importers or their agent, such as a licensed customs broker, electronically submit specific advance cargo information.

The ISF only applies to imports destined to the United States and must be filed 24 hours prior to the cargo being loaded onto the vessel. For late, inaccurate or incomplete filings, importers face costly fines and clearance delays.

As your agent, we will file the ISF on your behalf.

Trucking Services

We are here for you, start to finish. We understand that each client has unique transportation requests and can coordinate door to-door trucking services tailored to your specific logistical and budget needs. This includes both LTL and FTL shipments, status updates, and timely deliveries.

Marine Insurance

Marine Insurance protects businesses and individuals transporting goods both domestically and internationally. It covers the loss or damage of cargo during transit, including the various modes of transport - air, truck, and rail - connected to the marine shipment.

Based on our clients’ needs and financial interests, we can advise on the types of marine insurance available and the right insurance company to go through for securing the best policy.
